AFOA is committed to user privacy. As a not-for-profit organisation, We respect the United Kingdom law and European legislation regarding the protection of personal data. You have the right to access your personal data and, if necessary, to rectify information.

Only AFOA members can access our website forum. Follow the instructions posted on our website.

 

The Airport Fire Officers Association seeks to be clear and transparent in the work that we do and, in our recording and use of your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and also the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

We hold personal information about you when you apply for AFOA membership and when you retain membership through subscription. We hold personal information about any member and attendee of our annual conference.

 

If you do not pay your subscription at the due date, we retain your personal information for three months to allow you to reinstate your membership, after that time we delete your personal information from our systems.

 

If you attend a course or event, we process information about you in order to run the event. We retain information about you relating to the course or event billing, if appropriate, and we track the CPD hours you get credited with by virtue of your participation.

If you want to modify, remove or check your personal data (eg e-mail address) please send an e-mail to Catherine O’Brien. You have the right, by request to be removed from our email lists at any time that you wish by requesting it in writing.

 

Acceptance of Terms
